I was super excited to paint this tree. I love trees. I remember my leaf project from like the 4th grade and my dad (nature man) took me around getting leaves. He was always pointing out trees and flowers and animals. I think my fascination of nature stems from my dad and my Father.
Everything started okay with this one by painting the base with black gesso, but then I feel like things took a nasty turn with the happy little trees on the right. I just cannot seem to get the same swish swish action as Mr. Ross when it comes to those little branches. I always want to be able to do something right that second and it bothers me when I can't. You know what my husband said ? Yep...just keep painting, so I did.
I did use my new painting hacks this time. (Wax paper and my bucket)You can check those out on my webpage titled "My Bob Ross Challenge: The Joy of Prayer and Painting. The old oak tree turned out okay. Check out the pics for that too.
I have been thinking about something I heard a pastor say last Sunday. Wait for it.......Passionately pursue God. I know...I know. It is not revolutionary, but hold on. New spin: The pastor that he got this from said that people spend too much time trying to stop what they need to stop or start what they need to start. (That last part was my add). What if all we need to do is passionately pursue God? I am joking. It is not a question. The answer is to passionately pursue God. He wants to be first in our lives and at the center of everything we do. This is how we find our way. This is how we run our finances. This is how we raise our kids, choose our mate, do marriage. Do everything by passionately pursuing God and let Him be who He is in our lives.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
