Have you ever walked into a room and flipped on the light switch and the light bulb blew? No light. You are standing there in the dark. The energy is no longer flowing because of a broken filament. The bottom of that bulb has screw threads that allows it to be screwed into the light fixture. Then, on the very end there is a small bump that makes contact with the electrical wires that bring electricity to the bulb. The electricity is always flowing, but the source cannot always get to the tool. If you want illumination, then you have to go get out the ladder, find the good bulbs, (if you even have any) climb up on said ladder, fight with the fixture (that makes you wonder why you picked that one in the first place),and unscrew and replace that burned out useless piece of glass. Then you have to ask yourself at that moment….is it worth it right now? Do I want to go to “all of that trouble” right this second? Odds are that you won't. You will jot that down on your mental to do list and settle for doing it later.
"Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.”
This is what I believe happens to so many Christians when it comes to the things of God. They are standing there in the dark, burned out with no motivation to be illuminated again. It is so easy to fall into this trap of the enemy. For him, those are the safe ones that he doesn't really have to worry about. They go to church on Sunday, believe in God, serve in ministry, and are fairly nice people, but they never really connect to the source. They are still infants and happy to stay on the bottle. It takes too much effort to chew on meat and come on…...it really doesn't take all of that anyway…...does it?
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
God is the source of electricity that's always flowing, but we have to be a vessel that is connected. We have just veered off track on how to connect. Christians have been lulled into a state close to unconsciousness and decided that it is enough to go to church, act nice sometimes, serve a little or not at all and it is okay. IT IS NOT OKAY. There is is so much more to The Almighty God than that. We have to get into his Word and hear from Him. How many of us are walking around just believing what someone said from the “pulpit” on Sunday. We need to know the Word for ourselves. Do you realize that the enemy has no authority over you other than what you give him. Do you understand that greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world? LET THAT CONNECT Those scriptures should light you up! Let me lay another one on you; the same power that rose Christ from the dead is at work in you! That one should have you running around the room! I want to be attached to that kind of power, don't you?
The Word is full of instruction and things that God wants to say to us. We can’t put it on our mental to do list to take care of later. GET CONNECTED TODAY!
